Wireless Access
for Student, Faculty, Staff and Visitor
To use the ACLC
College Butuan Wireless Access you need to manually register your computer or
mobile device to the IT Data Center located at the Admin Office.
Manual Registration
process:
1. Proceed to the IT Data
Center located at the Admin Office and look for the IT In-charge.
2. Secure and fill
out the registration form and submit to the IT In-charge.
3. Present
your ID card and registration form together
with your device for MAC verification, identification and recording purposes.
4. After evaluating by IT In-charge, you will
receive a unique key or passcode that
serve as your personal account to the Wireless
Access. Depending on your account (student, staff, faculty, guest or visitor)
the unique key or passcode can be used with accompanying number of hours and
validity period.
5. The unique key or passcode is required every time you access the wireless access. The unique key or passcode is valid for every semester only.
6. In case of loss, stolen or to reset of your
given unique key or passcode, immediately report to the IT In-charge to
formally closed the said account.
7. For
accounts that encountered a technical problems, you may call or visit the IT Data
Center from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or call us at 3415719 Local
*832 for assistance.
How to connect the
Wireless Access:
Note: The
following instructions are for a Laptop running Windows 7. For your particular computer
or mobile device, you will need to read the device manual for instructions on
how to connect to a Wireless network.
1. To verify that your account has been established, go
to ACLC College wireless hotspot, then click on your computer’s Wireless Network
Connections icon in the lower right corner of your laptop’s screen.
2. Select "View Available Wireless Networks,"
and choose " ACLC College" and click Connect button.
3. Open your Internet
Browser (i.e., Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, etc.), and enter any URL
(i.e., www.google.com, www.yahoo.com, etc.). You will see the ACLC College
Butuan Hotspot Gateway Wireless Welcome page, where you will need to input
your “Username” and “Password” or “Unique code or Passcode” created for your account.
4. When asked for “unique
or passcode key,” click the drop down list button and select according to your
given access account.
Select the
Pregenerated Ticket option and type the “unique key or passcode” inside the box,
click the Login button.
Select the Local
Radius option and type the “unique key or passcode” inside the box, click the
Login button.
Select
the On-Demand option and type the “unique key or passcode” inside the box,
click the Login button.
5. This step is required every time you wish to
connect to the ACLC Butuan Wireless Access , be sure to keep your unique key or
passcode in handy and secured. After entering
your correct unique key or passcode, you will then have wireless internet
connection.

Announcement!
Wireless Access for students will be deactivated on April 30, 2013 till the duration of semestral break. Reactivation of student Wireless accounts will start on June 3, 2013. Reactivation is self-service.
Note: Only enrolled students for 2nd Semester S.Y. 2012-2013 are allowed to activate their Wireless account.
